You bought an overkill PSU which sucks. 750w would've been more than enough.

I beg to differ. 1000 watts is beyond ridiculous. A 750 or 850 watt PSU is in fact better suited. Also, Rocketfish? Are you insane? Should have gone with Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, Antec, XFX, or another good name in the PSU industry.
And why 2 450s? That makes very little sense, especially when you talk about water-cooling. Instead of upgrading the cooling, upgrade the cards first.

Other cards are quiet too, don't you know. And I bet they get loud once the fans crank up. All cards get loud under huge loads (unless there is custom cooling involved).
But really, that PSU is just terrible.

You really dont need a 1200 watt psu even for all of that. my pc has VERY similar specs and im running fine with a 750 and i have a GTX 295 and u need at least a 680 with that. i have multiple drives and just water-cooled it. that psu is overkill
