So, I am planning on building my own Computer. I figure I have about a $1000 spend limit, so I got a list of everything I need. Here it is:
Case- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Power Supply- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Motherboard- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Processor (CPU)- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Memory (RAM)- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
CD/DVD Drive- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Speakers- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Monitor- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Video Card- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Fan and Heatsink- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Harddrive- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Windows 7- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

and this is the price of everything:

Case- 49.99
Power Supply- 89.99
Motherboard- 129.99
Processor (CPU)- 219.99
Memory (RAM)- 69.99
CD/DVD Drive- 18.99
Speakers- 14.99
Monitor- 149.99
Video Card- 189.99
Fan and Heatsink- 29.99
Harddrive- 64.99
Windows 7- 94.99
= 1123.88

If you could link me to something better, I would appreciate it. I would like a computer that can run most newer games smoothly, at more than Mid settings.

Thanks for the help, if you help.

There are tons of benefits to having a legit copy. The only reason someone should pirate it is if they can not afford it, have bought it before, or plan to use it only temporarily.

I'm BUILDING my OWN computer. Price isn't a huge factor right now, I just need to make sure it's good.

Not terrible!

I would suggest a lower wattage PSU like a non-OCZ (Bad reputation for PSUs, look at Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, Silverstone, etc.) 500 watt unit.

Get the Samsung Spinpoint F3 instead of that drive (SATA III is a gimmick for mechanical drives, it is totally useless since the drive cannot saturateSATA II). The F3 is the fastest, best-priced, most reliable, and quietest 1TB in the price range.

I would step the CPU up to a 2500K especially with a high-end heatsink for just a bit more money. It will perform much better, overclock like a champ, and last you a long time.

That cooler does not look bad, but I have not heard much about it. I would personally go with either a Noctua NH-D14 or a Xigmatek Gaia/CM Hyper 212+, nothing else. People seem to like that one, though. Go for it if you want! Still, for a budget build with the best bang for the buck, I would get the 212+ from Tigerdirect or the Gaia from Newegg and save some money.

For the card, I strongly suggest you check out EVGAs B-Stock. They have some truly incredible deals and I am eyeing their cheap 570s.

Watch the voltage on the RAM since Sandy Bridge has theoretical issues with RAM over 1.59 volts. I suggest this:

I personally find that case revolting, haha I suggest you get the HAF 912 or a Cooler Master 690 II Advanced.
