May be fake

Will the next iPhone be flat like the current model, or curved like the most recent rumors suggest? Its a question that has plagued the minds of many bloggers and tech enthusiasts alike. Earlier this year developers and testers claimed they had their hands on an iPhone 4S which looked exactly like the iPhone 4, but was compatible with T-mobiles 3G network and hosted a dual-core A5 processor. We even saw a leaked images of the device. This device, codenamed N94, has recently been speculated to be a cheaper replacement to the iPhone 4. Many believe it will be released alongside the super-duper, magical iPhone 5. Just as many, however, are of the opinion that it will be the iPhone 5.

The most recent images; the steel frame/antenna redesign leaked yesterday, and the back cover leaked today, add further evidence to support the iPhone 4S theory. So far, there hasnt been a great deal of leaks supporting rumors of a total physical redesign. This back cover could almost be dismissed as being one from an iPhone 4, if the N94 code wasnt printed on the inside. (AT&Ts iPhone 4 is code N90, while the Verizon iPhone is N92.) N94 points specifically to the A5-equipped iPhone 4 prototype found in the hands of developers.

If this phone is released as the iPhone 4S or 5 we will see an iPhone with a dual-core A5 processor, the same 3.5 Retina display, it will be compatible with T-mobiles 3G network, and have a redesigned antenna. Personally, Im really hoping this is not the iPhone 5. The design team have had much longer than usual to come up with a new form factor, and to hash out the same thing but make it a bit quicker just isnt going to cut it for a number of consumers myself included.
