Haha I did, I think the cord is defective because the green light isn't lighting up on the cord (where the usb/psu meets).

xxZIPSxx wrote I'm purchasing a non-jtag flashed jasper tomorrow. I'll be able to connect that to xbox live and update it to the newest Kinect dash, correct? My dilemma is not being able to play my burned Kinect games. Who wants to pay for video games that they only play when they have friends over? Not me. Either way, I'd like to get my Jtag updated too. If anyone could help, I'd be much obliged.
I think that you should do some more reasearch before you spend money on something. If you were to connect it to live then you would have wasted all of your money.

You can't connect a flashed console (non-jtag) to xbox live?

Format the pen drive to fat32 do not set it up for your xbox just copy the extracted folder to the pendrive then insert into xbox and switch on. The update will then start.

Thanks guys, through trial and error I figured out what raffern repeated a a couple post ago. I formatted me pen stick to fat32 using windows cmd. I then did a drag and drop of the '$ystemupdate' folder to the pen stick instead of injecting it with 'xplorer.' I loaded up my freeboot on the jtag, stuck the pen stick in, and bam, recognized!

I only wonder this: if the formatting of the pen stick was problem, why did when I tried burning the '$ystemupdate' folder to a disc, when my jtag recognized it, it said 'system up to date'...
