As long as you will participate in clan events it's fine. If you are wonderign what that is well basically i enlist the whole clan in a event, an example of a event could be the most captures in domination. The top 10% get gold medals which goes towards the clan levelling up earning the people in it double xp. you can also win number one or a bronz or silver medal i will be inviting you now.

The 500xp is a bonus the clan gets for having a founder in it. But the founder can only give the 500xp to one clan
