this isnt a ban able offence. you dont know what your talking about. just because they are patching it doesnt mean they are going to ban for it. Facts please? thats right there are none. its not abuseing a glitch, or tampering. you simply put in 2 LEGAL characters and it makes another LEGAL character. this affect gameplay in no way shape or form, nor does it lag or glitch servers. 1/2 the CoD community has had and does still have the clan tags. they wont ban 1/2 of the community for a senseless glitch that gave them no advantage.. not to mention, not a single person got banned for glitching on outpost, they just warned that they may start banning and patched it fast. and that one ACTUALLY majorly affected gameplay.

You can be banned for exploiting ANY glitch, hence the option to report somebody for EXPLOITING a glitch. So yes sir, it is a punishable offense.

Tweeted by Robert Bowling that over 1600 people banned for modded clan tags and aimbot within the first 2 weeks.

Edit: "Obviously he doesn't talk about having banned people with clan tags with button characters in it but it is an uncommon symbol for in game use as a clan tag. This is why it was taken out of MW2 along with modded gamer tags."

Wrong. This was a question given to Activision and answered by the website, who only Activision staff can answer, saying that using any special charecters in the game can result in suspension or full ban.
