xXCoNdEmRXx wrote I made this today in VB 2010.. first porgram and porbably the simplest i'll make yet. I only recently got into all this programming and this is the end product of what i know so far lol.

So this is just a shutdown, restart, log off kinda tool i made mainly for Windows 7 user's cause we hav'nt got a shutdown box pop up on our screen's like xp has..so it's simple and effective and you can download if you want. BTW if anyone has any good suggestions or good tutorials on learning VB ir C++ please post a link as it'l be very helpful. Thanks.

TTG_Noscopes is correct W3schools is a good starting point. But if you [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for some tuts you will get endless results.

As you go along and come up with more specific searches thats when things will get better. But for now just look for starter tuts. Things like creating calculators in VB and programs like notepad.exe, then try to add your own creative functions to them for practice.

Hit me up in PM. If you got windows live we can chat more there as well. I have loads of links to tutorials and can help as much as possible to get you started.

Nice work on the program. I did something similar but I made simple icons on the desktop (XP) that would run the shutdown or reboot commands.
