I want to upgrade my ipod 1g from 3.2 to 4.2 and im having trouble getting working links. any help?

you can't the highest firmware you can be on is 3.1.3 and no higher

That's impossible the highest the iOS can go on an iPod touch 1st Generation is 3.1.3. That's the highest the Dev Team could do. If you need help updating your iTouch to 3.1.3 then take a look at this sticky this guy know's what he's talking and these links helped me jailbreak my iPhone/iPod touch he has my vouch and the links are 100% operable and trusted:
