TTG WiiZaRD's Complete Halo 3 De-Ranking Guide
Introduction:
A Halo 3 Deranker/Booster is a player that looses a large ammount of games, then plays with another player to rank up quick. Bungies ranking system enables people to create boosters because if you have someone with a terrible record on your team, you will be expected to loose, but if you win that game you will be rewarded with a better chance of ranking up more.
Why Does Halo 3 have derankers/boosters?
Well, if you haven't noticed, getting a Halo 3 50 isn't very easy to get without boosting. A Halo 3 booster allows you to play bad people, rank up much faster, and overall get your 50!
How many different ways of deranking/boosting are there?
Well, the 3 main ways are-
A. A player that quits at the beginning of a game.
B. A player that uses a special controller to do all of the work for him.
C. A player that makes his own team loose on purpose.
YOU CAN GET BANNED FROM ANY TYPE OF DERANKING, TRY TO BE AS STEALTH AS POSSIBLE AND DO NOT DERANK WITH FRIENDS!
What playlists can I specifically derank in?
Well, basically every RANKED playlist except Lone Wolves and MLG FFA.
Why can't I derank in Lone Wolves and MLG FFA?
You can't boost a friend or another player in a Free For All playlist.
What playlists can I derank in, and have the lowest chance of being banned?
Here is a list of the playlists, starting from lowest chance to highest ban rates-
1.Squad Battle
2.Team Slayer
3.Team Snipers
4.Team Swat
5.MLG
6.Team Doubles
REMEMBER, this all depends on HOW you derank.
What Are The Best Ways To De-Rank In Each Playlist?
Team Slayer-
Do Not Quit
Move around
Turbo
Team Doubles-
Move around
Jump off level (to loose score)
DO NOT TURBO, high ban rate.
You CAN quit, but I highly DO NOT reccomend it, unless you would like to be banned.
Squad Battle-
Do Not Quit
Move around
Turbo
Team Snipers-
Do Not Quit
Move around
Turbo
MLG-
Jump off map for your team to loose score
Move around
DO NOT TURBO, high ban rate.
Swat-
Do Not Quit (Gives other team advantage)
Move around
Turbo
Tips + Tricks
TIPS-
Don't quit games.
Try not to turbo over 5 hours a day.
While deranking yourself, don't just get 0 kills, move around, kill 1 or 2 people.
Tricks-
Turbo controllers-
Turbo controllers are also known as Horipad controllers, basically once the macro is turned on a certain button, it taps the button ALOT once a rubber band has been taped over it, for deranking you must macro the A button, so it will start the game itself, instead of being returned to the pre-game lobby.
Where can I get a "Turbo Controller?"
Their are many being sold on ebay everyday, personally, I use a Street Fighter 4 controller that costs around $30.00 at Best Buy.
Narrows-
If you so happen to get the map Narrows, you want to be funny, or your team is winning, rub in to one of your teammates or make them shoot at you, and jump to the spine platform below, will result in a betrayal on their part, causing them to get booted. (3 STRIKES THEY'RE OUT!)
Movement-
Bungie has been cracking down on derankers lately, so movement is a great idea now-a-days. Moving around, shooting people, just messing around is a great and sometimes fun way to derank, and piss your teammates off.
Special TRICK-
YOU MUST HAVE A USB WITH MUSIC ON IT!
THIS METHOD WORKS, BUT MAY GET YOU BANNED!
1. Start up a game on your booster.
2. when in pre-game lobby, go to select music, USB device.
3. The music usually takes FOREVER to load, just stay at the loading screen.
4. Your screen will freeze, then it will say EVERYONE but YOU left the game, and you win, but in reality, you left.

My Account Actually Got Banned A Week Ago Because I Left My Turbo Controller Running For 2 Days Straight.

A Turbo is a specially designed Halo 3 Modded Controller That automatically presses the A button. This will just keep putting you into games and will move your character once in the game. Hope I helped.

Nice post man I hav a turbo its called a hori pad you cant buy it in canada but u can buy one usa or a store online or something that imports japanese products mine was 7 bucks it turbos A B X Y so it just kepps on starting matchmaking and jumps so bungie thinks ur actually playing because ur jumping u can also custom boost with turbos all u do is set ur turbo to A and hav a special gametypes the automatically ends the game so u keep on startinfg it now i hav 3500 customs in 2 days ^_^
