Budget: 60 (GBP)
Music preference: Rock, Rap, R&B, Pop (most genres )
Type / form factor and portability: Headphones (Over Ear)
Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): Closed (Will be on a noisy bus when using them)
Source(s): iPod Touch 4G
Thanks man.
If you're on a bus, there's nothing better than IEMs, since they're infinitely more portable and isolate better. If you can do IEMs, get the Vsonic GR06 from Frogbeats.
If you do want over-ear cans, though, look at the Koss DJ100. Pretty much every other closed headphone around that price point is not very portable, unlike the DJ100 which has a folding design. The DJ100 sounds even better if you use it with an amplifier, which can be cheap like the Fiio E6. Really, they're good without an amp, but incredible with one.

I'm trying to avoid the in ear headphones because the ones I have now (standard apple ones *pukes*) hurt my ears a little, and pop out sometimes.
This is a noob question, but what does the Fiio E6 amp do?
Thanks alot for your help.

Don't judge in-ear headphones by Apple iBuds! The GR06 is one that you'll love, since it's very comfortable, comes with wire holders that keep them in place by retaining the wires behind your ear (when you wear them up, or over the ear), and it comes with about a bajillion different tips so one is bound to fit you. The tips are extremely good, as well. Also, IEMs are something that you get used to after using them for awhile. It took me a few days to get used to my first IEMs, but after that, they're just great.
The E6 provides more power to headphones. Some need a little more juice, some need a lot. The E6 is for those that need a little more than your usual MP3 player can deliver or that benefit from more power. It's a question, not a noob question! It's no big deal if you don't understand headphone amplification, that's why you have me!

Ultrasone HFI780 or PRO900 if you can afford an amp.

There are two types of people: the people that LOVE them, and the people that hate them. There are very few that are in between. r00t_b33r loves his pair; I've tried at least 5 different pairs and I've hated all of them. They're bassy (for a studio monitor, but objectively, they're not incredibly so), with somewhat recessed mids and bright treble. The pairs I tried all had veiled vocals and instruments along with a very discordant, cacophonous sound. (Caveat, there is apparently a new version that's more neutral, I'm not sure if that holds any weight or not.) They'd probably be worth their price at the $100 they used to sell at, but now they're 30% more and for that price, I'd get an Ultrasone HFI580 every time.

This. I may love my M50s, but there are better options out there. I got mine a while ago at the peak of their hype and at a very good price. No regrets. Today, I would definitely get something different, though. Koss DJ100, Ultrasone HFI-580 or 780, Brainwavz HM5 (Fischer Audio FA-003), etc. Also, I have not heard enough other headphones to make a conclusion on how the M50s sound relative to other options. I might agree with Ishcabible and think they're not so great compared to other headphones. I wouldn't know, unfortunately.
If you can though, do look at the Brainwavz HM5. They're available for pre-order for less than they will sell for once they're out. Awesome for the price.

I'm assuming you'd be OK with on-ear headphones as well since you want portability. Check out the V-Moda M80. They're great for your music, look BA, and are indestructible. The Aiaiai TMA-1 is another good option.
If you prefer full-size (on-ear) headphones and still want portability, the Ultrasone Pro 750, HFI-780, and HFI-580 are all good choices. Since they fold up and the Pro series has removable cables, they're somewhat more portable than other full-size headphones. Other good option is the Audio Technica Pro 700 Mk. II
