Why does it matter what kind of phone they have? Most of the phones that are out are all smart phones.

Since when is there an age limit for when you can own an iPhone?

If there is, please tell me.
You are clearly not getting my point, so let me explain this. A 7 year old probably doesn't do that much texting or phone calling. So, why buy them a a very expensive phone that they will barely use, when you can get them something simpler that would fit their needs for way cheaper.

Ask the parents that. It's their child, let the kid have what they want.

What's the big deal anyway? It's a phone. So what if they can't "jailbreak" it or download apps and music.

It's a phone. So why should it matter?

yeah they either bought it just so they can play games on them, or just in case they get lost and have to call someone, i think its a good idea.

Poof wrote Why did you make this? Because you didn't have one when you were little? Its Just a phone. Parents want to look after their child.

I think the parents could have just bought any ordinary el-cheapo phone for their kids and bought them an iPhone once they get to like 13.

Discussion wrote Parents want to know if their child is safe.

Who cares about what type of phone it is?

Children should have phones to stay in contact with their parents.

Plus the iPhone is very popular.

In 2004 I remember I had a razor phone, that was the best phone out at that time.

This time, it's the iPhone.
yeah but no dodut some1 will rob it if he 7 to 9 want they
