You cant pass patches through game sharing bro , you need a Jailbroken Ps3 to be able to download the patches onto your hard drive , the only other way is a data transfer which involves you and a modded ps3 to connect and completely swipe your ps3 and put all of the modded one's stuff onto yours .

Oh that's what the word was, I meant data transfer. So, would I get banned if someone loaded me with patches and I went online with them?

No you wouldn't get banned, but you can only have 1 patch per game.

If you already have updated your ps3 to a later version where you can not jailbreak it , you can not get it jail broken if someone were to data transfer with you , and only one patch per game would work so he would only be able to give you ONE patch... you would have to get a data transfer from someone that has got an infectable mod menu...

No you wouldn't get banned, but you can only have 1 patch per game.

Would they be able to load my external Hard Drive up with patches that I could run? +Rep like I did for KTA.

No because it would re format to your ps3 and erase the patches, you would need to send your ps3 to the person and have them data transfer 1 patch per game to your ps3 from their jailbroken one.
