Hello, I have a few Monster Spawners on Minecraft but when I place one down, it only Spawns Pigs outside my house?

I have a room where I keep them and I thought they would spawn in the same room? (Also it is in COMPLETE Darkness)

Please can someone tell me why it isn't working correctly?

It happens to me, they should change it so it is random.
