i just got a new bulldozer mini 500gb HDD and i wanted to use it to store media so i can use it around the house on my TV's and when i Plug in the hard drive it is detected and works fine although the TV only detects video but when i go to the directory where my music is stored it does not detect this, anyone know why? (if you need extra info just ask)

Try either looking in the manual [as said above].
Convert the files to .mp3 or maybe into .avi and see if it works.

Your TV may support other Audio Formats.
