Yeah L4D will be on sale tomorrow, but wait until it is a franchise sale and you can get both for $5 each, maybe even less. Also I wouldn't recommend getting L4D1 just because you can get all of the maps from L4D1 on L4D2 for free.

A franchise sale is when the whole series goes on sale for 75% off, Valve always does this for their games.

Yes, Portal 2 is worth $5, there is Steam Workshop integration, so you can make your own maps and play other ones too. Plus there is coop and that is fun to play.

There is only sales tax if you are in Washington.
