If you want, you can just use MinecraftSP if your on Mac. thats if your just doing it for personal use. Not for servers. Just thought i'd add that.

Look, it says this in trouble shooting - If you want to play on a multiplayer server using Mineshafter, the proxy must be running on the server machine as well (unless the server is using offline mode).

What does this mean?

Yeah I have that too. Works really nice. Do you know how to get the 1.8 beta? Thats one thing I can not figure and its been asked by a couple people I helped.

On mineshafter download the server proxy.

When i try to join a server it says "Failed To Verify Username!"

I aint heard nothin like that. i have 1.3.1 on MinecraftSP i believe lemme check. But it depneds on what Mac you have. What do you have?
