what you need to do is create a new xbox live account and and whe you are all set up on the dashboard it will come up to get a 1 month free trial click on it and use it.

You need a Credit card to do it.

Well typically some promo is free 1 month trial some are for 1 dollar / pounds.

You can only do that if you have a credit card attached to the account or if you haven't made 3 accounts before on a new Xbox.

Like stated above you only can do this 3 times per console. or you can just simply wait till you see a promo on your dashboard.
