This isnt really a conspiracy but im curious about what you guys know and think about Auschwitz.

I went there in Summer to both camps (Auschwitz + Birkenau) and its a really strange atmosphere that you just cant describe, the feeling was unreal.

But a couple of things i want to mention is the lack of respect for it, i saw families taking pictures next to the Death wall and the Gas chambers smiling? They must think its an attraction like Disney land when it most definitely isnt.

So all im asking is what do you guys know/think about it and also have any of you visited?

gallery link now added, it was hard to take them as you were being rushed around the camp which i hope you understand.

I think that I could never set foot in a place like that.
So many people dying in horror in one place, then they turn it into, pretty much, a tourist attraction.

It's just wrong.

it is like a tourist attraction, different nationalities in different groups with tour guides with a mic and headsets and all the families taking group photos it is ridiculous!

If your a historian, then you may find these "attractions" amusing.

I do find it weird that people would even want to go to such an evil place.

though it is a part of history, some things should just be kept out of reach to the general public

Yeah, it seems wrong for a concentration camp in which jews were tortured and slaughtered everyday would become a fun tourist attraction. Seems legit. But, i guess it is a part of history. As people said, why would you want to go to somewhere in which worse of worser tragedies have occurred.

I wouldn't really consider it a fun tourist attraction when it is being used to educate and teach the younger generations about what people had to go through at one point.
