Auschwitz was a small camp where they first tested gassing and other killing techniques, however the camp was too small so they built another (Birkenau) 1 mile down the road, this was the largest with the highest amount of people killed, and it is called Auschwitz Birkenau

I went to both Auschwitz and Birkenau with my school before the holidays. It is an amazing experience but also creepy from the horrible things that were there. There are lots of stories from auschwitz which are very disturbing.

I would never be able to stand foot in a place like Auschwitz, the fact so many people died in that one place would make me want to never set foot there.
