Fallout 3 for me , I think Fallout 3 had a more apocalyptic feel to it. The ruined city , abundance of mutants and quest for fresh water gave it a feel of destruction and struggle to survive that I think New Vegas was missing. But I did really enjoy New Vegas and it's DLC as well don't get me wrong it was a brilliant game but FO3 was just more enjoyable.

Holy crap, you will have such a **** amazing time playing Fallout 3, especially if you don't rush it.
I liked to do a couple of quests a day and a bit of exploring, and then the same the next day. Have fun, and complete all side quests.

Fallout 3. More of a story, more of a wasteland.

I think Fallout New Vegas. In my opinion, better DLC. No hating.

Fallout 3 has a better storyline but worse graphics.

Fallout New Vegas has good guns and good graphics.

Gameplay is the same as they run off the same engine.

DLC, Fallout 3's is better whereas New Vegas adds more guns etc via DLC.

After spending atleast 300 hours on both games I'm going to have to give it to Fallout: NV. It is much friendlier and more enjoyable to play due to the environment. Fallout 3 has a much more "Harsh" and "Apocalyptic" feeling to it than NV, so it really depends what you enjoy more. I enjoyed NV more because there was so much more to go do like gamble, and such. Both games are 10/10 in my book though.

That's pretty tough to answer. If I had to choose Fallout 3 is better.
