Well first off all with are generation christmas , birthdays , and alot of holidays people only like them for a couple reasons and forgot the real tradition. And the reasons people like holidays now are reasons such as No school and presents. And people just follow there parents and the world how many people can actually tell me a story about how the christmas tree comes in place ? not many people well i think people should stop following others and get back to the real meaning of christmas where famileis should get togather have a good meal and religios practices and such things so i think before you celebrate this christmas you should do a little research on it and tell your family and not just follow others./rant over

What do you expect when people have always thought of Christmas as a day where you get presents? You have to have sight of the meaning of Christmas to lose it.

What about the non-Christians?
Also people die, is that considered screwing up the tradition too?

Non Christians still celebrate CHRISTmas. I don't see how a death can affect a family tradition unless they had a big role in it every year.

non-christians celibrate it just because no reason and that is true

I'm pretty sure Jewish families don't celebrate it.

If you always went to that person's house, which I guess could be a big role, could screw it up.

Kids have always thought for a few decades now that Christmas is about Santa coming down their chimney and hand delivering presents. It's only recently that it's been horribly commercialized.
