I'm still undecided between the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I want a console that;
- Runs smoothly
- A good experience when playing FIFA & COD
- Is the most popular for good reasons

And the Wii is not an option LMAO!

Well, PC is better than both. If you're not interested in PC, I would recommend waiting for another year or so and saving up to buy one of the next gen consoles when they are released. If you're not having any of this then I would recommend the Xbox 360 which is just my personal preference. It all really depends on which controller you prefer. The PS3 controller is too small IMO and the Xbox controller fits in your hands just right but it all depends on the way you feel with the controller in your hand!

This is a no brainer, I would certainly recommend getting an Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 is the worst selling console of the PS3,360,WII gen so no it's not the most popular. I agree that it's a bit faster though.

I'd personally get a PS3 now honestly. They're pretty cheap nowadays. You'll like not having to pay for online, the exclusives, and the blu-ray player.

Actually, PS3 is more popular in France and Japan, everywhere else has had more Xbox 360 sales. The only reason the PS3 took over the Xbox 360 in worldwide sales is because they're popular in Asia as Sony is a Japanese brand. It took Sony around 6 years to overtake the Xbox 360 in worldwide sales though and the 360 is still ahead of the PS3 in sale figures in the US.

**EDIT** If Asian sales were excluded from the picture then Xbox 360 worldwide sales would be at 69 million and PS3 sales would be at 65 million.

That's nice. None of that changes the fact that the 360 is now the worst selling current gen console.

Well i have both consoles but im always going to stick to the 360 cause its got a great multiplayer interface now if you want something that has free live (PS3) and has some mediocre players stick to the ps3 xbox usually has better players.
