Right click the speaker on the taskbar. Set headphones as default device

I've tried that... it is always set to as default communications device instead. I only see Speakers and Headphones and COmmunications Headphones which seems to be a problem.

Restart your computer with only your headphones plugged in. Or try and update your audio drivers.

Are you sure you plugged it into the Headphone jack and not the Microphone jack?

It sounds stupid but it could happen.
