First off if you don't already have TU11 then make sure you get it. It's always best to get it strait from your retail Xbox to ensure that it's the correct region.

If you're having problems with joining system link.
Remove your ethernet cable on the Dashboard and sign in offline. Load the game up and when your on Multiplayer plug your ethernet cable back in and you will be able to system link.

Once you're in the game, kill yourself three times. No more and no less. It'll then promote you and you just need to wait for the host to leave.

How to get positive CoD Points
Kill yourself and after every suicide look at your CoD Points until it says you have 99 Million. Then wait for the host to leave.

Can't get XP to stick?
There's a few ways to resolve this. One way of doing it is the host has to leave once everyone has there XP, and when he leaves he either signs out of his Xbox account or he Dashboards the game. The other way is the host leaves and then the next host of the game leaves and so on until there's nobody left in the game.
