is your friend 10 years old..? who would be restricted to what kind of laptop they can get, if you want a laptop to play games get a gaming laptop, unless your friend is a child i dont see why there is such a restriction... your friend would just be wasting their money.

he's 15, his dad doesn't want to buy him a gaming laptop because it will distract him from study...

Any laptop capable of playing games will would be pretty expensive anyway.

you could always get a 'editing laptop/pc' they usually need a separate powerful GPU and a good CPU plus high RAM which means GAMINGGG!!! just tell him to tell his dad he wants to go into the field of editing and making youtube backgrounds and let him make a few fake youtube backgrounds using a template from youtube... HAPPY LYING..

Well instead of getting a bad quality computer your friend may as well tell their dad what their planning on doing without so they dont waste his money

Try the Lenovo Y580. It doesn't look like a gaming laptop but is has beast specs. If you're going to buy one make sure you get the one with 1080 resolution and not the 720 one.
