You couldn't. The only way is to join one yourself.

I think that if you get an ethernet cable it'd still work since you're using the wired connection and not the wireless one.

I'm sure that if the host leaves and then dashboards the game while it's in host migration it will stick.
That way you don't need to prestige for it to stick.
