As for the story, beheading was a step down from what he deserved, taking someone against their will in that way is simply disgusting, I wish ill on no man, but I feel like beheading was less than he deserved.
Beheading's occur all of the time and are often seen as mercy killings, you either cut the windpipe, reducing oxygen flow to the brain causing them to become euphoric or you cut the spine meaning their nerves are severed so they cannot feel the pain.
Beheading is horrific because you can see it, not because you can feel it.

She should be set free, I see no reason to punish her as she isn't going to be beheading anyone else.
