I used to live in Alabama, for 8 years. I know how you feel. But I just ignore the people in-game. I live in Colorado now.

EDIT: I lived in a small suburban area not far from Hunstville. NASA has the Space and Rocket Center in Hunstville. There are ALOT of smart people that work there. The people that lived across from me, tried to sell their house for 600k, so that should give you the idea of the people that live around me.

Well guess what? We are not all stupid rednecks. We don't all live in the woods and start drinking at the age of 5.

In fact, actually we " surprisingly " live in cities and have a social life, well some do anyways, others live in small suburban areas, then there are the farms and stuff. For example: I live in a town called Brentwood, and some people here are very successful.

I don't get why some people use the term 'redneck' derogatorily. Among my friends and family it's mostly used when speaking about someone with an obsession with guns, something certainly not looked down upon around me. It's also used when someone fixes something either with duct tape or through non-conventional means. Why is that a bad thing? It's funny and is at times, actually quite clever. Weird thing is I'm half English, Half American so I've educated my English mates on the meaning of being a redneck.

Also, my co-leader of my clan is a proud NC redneck and everyone finds him funny as hell while he is still a helluva lot smarter than most of us. The 'rednecks are dumb' stereotype is far from the truth and is far too general, obviously you will get dumb rednecks but there are dumb kinds of all sorts of different people.

eh it's just a stereotype... there are a lot of stereotypes: irish people drink 24/7, black people csnt swim, Mexicans all are illigal, welsh people like them sheep haha, I dont really think people actually believe these... I know I dont. there are many many more more than I can even name.
