ok so i havent jailbroken my iphone 5 yet and im very behind on all the versions and have completely forgotten how to do anything. Ive got a couple questions an need some help.
1. how do i know what iOS my phone is on?
2. when a new iOS update comes out, will i have to jailbreak it again? and is it recommended to?
3. will jailbreaking like void your warranty or anything? if something was to go wrong will the apple store be able to help me?
4. and last, is jailbreaking really worth it? thanks for your help.

You will have a choice to update or not. If you do update then yes and no it isnt.

Yes IF you restore it back to factory settings

No just update first. Then Jailbreak. You dont need to restore it to factory settings.
