I currently have sky which isn't the best for downloads at all or uploads as they take the mick. I recommend virgin strongly if you do want the best of the best service for internet in the UK however I do believe the speeds can be different where you live.

Call your support, sometimes they can fix it, it may be a little bit stressful talking to them but do it and it will get fixed.

Give TalkTalk a call and ask them whats wrong with it. I'm with TalkTalk and get 38-40Mbps!

You haven't reset your router in long arse time.

Just unplug it for a few hours befor eyou go to sleep and turn it on in the am and you be good.
If tha tno work, contact your ISP support

I turn the router off every night by turning the switch of ? Do you mean the plug in the router ?
