I have been trying to hotswap for almost an hour now and everytime i take my original disc out at 1%, I get the burned disc in then it says it can't read it.

Yes it is still possible, if your disc has even the slightest scratch on it could effect the installation. However try a different method,
If you are using the USB method
Try without the USB vice versa
Looks like your hot swapping without e USB, you should use the USB method, that way the device selection will come up. Then you swap discs and then hit install.
But because you are doing it without the USB you need to swap the discs before you hit install. Your tricking the DVD drive that the retail is still in there. Swapping while its reading it will detect that the disc has been removed.

I don't think you are supposed to take out the original while it's installing.

Yes it is still possible if you are having problems with it saving to your HDD all the way then its probably a bad burn
