I know it's not hard, but I would prefer to avoid the hassle and spend a bit more to begin with on a cooler.

I just use toilet paper and lighter fluid if im honest. The paper doesn't have lint in it, and lighter fluid works just as well.

Well its always worked for me and im not going to believe the marketing crap that i need to buy a specialist kit to "prepare" my processor. Its just a metal heat spreader ontop of the chip just clean it like any other metal :L

Its just better ha. Didn't want to spend a tenner on a cleaning kit when i can use stuff i already have!

Also fitting a Hyper 212 in a HAF912 is easy peasy.

"Cleaning most other metals" I do that with a paper towel and stop trying if it doesn't come off in a couple of seconds.

And I see why you do it, 10 pounds is a rip-off!!

Would it make any sense to add a geforce gtx 660 ti it's not to much more than the sapphire , would there be much difference ?

There would be a small difference but not really noticeable.
