I guess I'll stick to BF3 on my pc because I don't see a point in playing BF4 on console when none of my friends will be playing

The comment quoted above is the response of a Battlefield fanboy. All they can ever do is trash talk Call of Duty. Let me start by saying that both games are very immersive, captivating first person shooters. Both games also have they fair share of screaming children, as do ALL multi-player video games. The target demographic for both games are people in their 20's. However, kids buy and play both games. Nothing much can be done about this. If you play on Xbox, simply create or join a party chat. It is very simple to control with whom you do or do not converse.

Now, let me clearly state, I am not a fanboy of either franchise. I thoroughly enjoy both games and feel no need to sling ignorant insults at one or the other. Both have pros and cons, but they are both truly great games.

With that being said, I personally think you would be smart to purchase both CoD:Ghosts and BF4. You obviously already appreciate what CoD brings to the table, so there is no need for me to try to sell you on it. It looks to be shaping up to be a great game. As for BF4, though you can not clearly see the changes, they have improved the HUD, increased map sizes again, added submarines(unconfirmed rumor), 64 player online matches, and an updated version of the Frostbite engine. Supposedly, multi-player is still in the pre-alpha phase, meaning that the footage we have seen thus far is not "finished game" quality, using placeholders from BF3 in the footage. The finished product will inevitably look much better.

In the end, the choice is entirely yours and there is no right or wrong. It boils down to your personal preference. I will be purchasing both CoD:Ghosts and BF4, but don't base your decision on my opinion or the opinion of any CoD or BF fanboy. More will come to light before release date.
