Hey TTG, whenever i use xbox neighborhood it takes FOREVER to load my consoles HDD files, i am currently using wireless as i am unable to use a wired connection (due to distance from router) so i was wondering can i just use a ethernet cable from my laptop to my console to improve loading speed?

is this problem worse when you click into a game directory because if it does then I have the same problem. It is not the connection between the two devices it is the speed of your pc. I have a craptop and mine takes ages to but I have an exceedingly good internet connection and ftp on programs such as filezilla is fast.

Yeah, it takes FOREVER if i try to load up the game files for Blops 2, and when i does load if i try scrolling down to find the default.xex the program will just stop responding and i have to close it.

Yes it's entirely possible, as that is what I do. It greatly improves the loading speed of your files and the overall performance is improved upon as well.

Is it as simple as just plugging in the cable or do i have to do some bridging?

I literally just plugged an ethernet cable into my laptop and inserted the other end into the back of my console.
Works like a charm.

Sometimes having wireless will make it slow... try using a ethernet cable to your PC and use a wireless adapter for your console.
