Hey, I was recently having a conversation with a Xbox support employee. We were discussing how to find my password for my Microsoft account, I had some ideas during the conversation so they can make finding your password, easier.
If we can get this to be added on to the console, people who forgot there password over the years, don't have to worry. Comment below because I would like to see your opinion on this.
Timmy: Is there any other way? Like to view my account password? This account has been on my console for years, I should be able to see my password.
Zebulon G: I'm afraid not.
Timmy: The company should let people see there password after a certain amount of time played on the account, no one would have the persons account unless they let a friend or a family member borrow it. If it was a hacker or someone who took the account, I'm sure the person who lost it would of called Xbox support and told them about it.
Timmy: It would make less problems for the people who have the same issues i'm having with my account.
Zebulon G: I'm sure there are many other customers who would agree with you. I would like to encourage you to utilize the Feedback link located at the bottom of our webpage to let our developers know. I will also make a note of this in the ticket as well.
Zebulon G: I do believe it is worth trying to recover it though. The next step toward recovering your account really depends on what response you get from the Microsoft account team, however.
Timmy: Alright, I'll do what I can. I mean I pay for the account and have a credit card on it, That should let me get closer to getting my account. I am not sure what I should do on the questions I can't answer, anything you know that will help me get a step closer?
Zebulon G: As I said, if you don't know the answer to a question, go ahead and indicate that on the questionnaire. It is better than leaving it blank. We don't have any of the information on our end that it's asking for.
Timmy: If that password idea we were just talking about actually works, would that make less people calling and messaging the Xbox support team, if so? Would that make your job easier?
Zebulon G: In my opinion, it would not make my job any easier because then we would have more unauthorized access cases than we already do since it would mean that others who have access to the same console would be able to have easier access to the account.
Timmy: If the account had to be played a month or more to be able to see the password, I wouldn't think the people would have a chance of getting away with another persons account.
Timmy: That's 744 hours of constant playing, which I'm sure people wouldn't get anywhere unless they stayed up for a month straight, they have to spend a lot of time trying to get another players account anyways. Anyone who would lose there account like this must have gave it away and hasn't done anything to get it back.
Zebulon G: You bring up some very good points, and I think you should definitely include that in your feedback to our development team, since they are the ones who make those kinds of decisions.
