So I was playing Modern Warfare 2 when I had the feeling for getting a nuke. I don't why I had a craving for one because each time I got an AC130 or a chopper gunner, the enemy would be on red alert and immediatly blow them of the sky in a matter of four seconds. But this time was different; I actually felt that I would succeed... And I was right! (Sort of)

So I'm in the lobby, preparing my class: silenced M16 with a holographic site, SPAS-12 with a silencer, 2 flash grenades, a standard M67 hand grenade, obviously Bling, Stopping Power, and Ninja Pro. Now this class was very different than my others as I do not use stopping power that much and usually substitute it for hardline. Anyway, I picked the standard killstreaks for a nuke: harriers, AC130, and evidently the nuke.

Once I finished setting up my class, I picked and joined a Ground War game. I joined a game on Wasteland that already started so I sighed to myself.. Once the game loaded, I realized that it just started: 2 to 5; I gained back my confidence.

I grabbed my M16 and started rushing out onto the field. A semtax flew right over the bush and killed me immediatly. I realized that rushing would not work in this situation. I heard that we captured Bravo so I ran into the popular house and started camping. I saw a person in the distance where Alpha was and wasted a whole clip on him, luckily I killed him. The score was around 28 to 36 and I had only 1 kill. I started losing my confidence. I saw that the enemy was starting to flood out of the tunnel, so I came out of my house and chucked my grenade into the tunnel and got a triple kill. I was stunned, three more kills to go till my harrier. I started to move around the hedge to Alpha and two guys surprised me by popping around the corner. To my advantage, I had my trusty SPAS-12 out. I blast one away and injure the other, I quickly proned into the tall grass close to my death and blast the other away also. My heart started racing now as it always does. I run back to the Bravo house praying to myself I will not got shot. I throw a flash into the tunnel and swiftly jump over the trench. I see a lone wolf coming around the corner of Charlie and briskly take him out. I immediatly run toward the house and go prone, I call my harriers in. I get a triple kill from the bombers and a second later, the Harrier takes out a guy. I got my AC130 and immediatly ran out of the house as the enemy was capturing Bravo. I saw we captured Charlie so once again, I ran hoping I would not die. I kept running until I reached the Base next to the chopper next to Charlie. I went prone into the bush and called in my AC130. I get a multikill straightaway and now at 20 kills. I look at the scoreboard and get three more kills and I know I am going to succeed! "There is not a chance I will fail!", I think to myself. I see a teammates care package heli come in. I get one more kill and and at 24 kills now. I shoot the 105m cannon and get a triple kill.
....
I didn't have my nuke... I look at the scoreboard and I see I have 27 kills and 2 deaths... I hear some teammates of mine laughing through my TV (I didn't have my mic plugged in) about dropping a carepackage on me..

FAIL!

Anyone else had any nuke fails?
