The RPG's in the game(BF4) lock onto laser designated vehicles, according to FrankieOnPCin1080P. He plays on PC so it may only be on PC, however, I do not know.

So they don't detonate on impact if they're not laser designated?

Im not sure on how the laser detenation would work with the RPG.

How would that be possible as the rpg has never had capabilities of doing that?
Well its a game sooo. I guess Dice needs to think about how realistic they can get.

Yes I know in real life they can't lock on to any vehicles, but as someone said, it's a game. They can do whatever they want. For all we know the next DLC gun is a bubble gun. Who knows?

It does if somebody uses the PLD and locks on to a vehicle(helicopter,tank,etc)and someone shoots an RPG at it the RPG will act like a Stinger and heat seek it.
