Why is there a filter for all bad words on this site. I can see maybe for the F word, but this is a site for 13+ year olds. PG-13 movies swear, why can't I? I'm not saying using them to degrade another member should be allowed, but casually I believe I should be allowed to curse. We're not being watched by the FCC or anything, casual swearing should be allowed. Just my opinion.

The site is trying to become more professional as a whole. If the site allows everyone to run around post "F this, F that." it makes the site look bad.
It just does not look good on Sean's part. I don't think you should be able un-filter the curse words on the site because it makes it look uneducated and bad. What big business curses? None. And when I say that I mean you don't see companies make commercials with curse words in them.
Idk, I just think it gives us a bad image if we have everyone post that.

Ripe wroteso you dont get people thinking they can dropped a swear word on every single post they make. The swear filter is great. And do you honestly think there arent any kids under 13 on here? Not being able to say "Pr*ck" is kind of ridiculous.

No, because most swear words would be used to attack someone, which would lead to unnecessary flame wars...

I don't really have an opinion on this topic, so I'll just give you my insight on both points of view.
Swearing; Why yes, it can help get a point across, or express an opinion on a more severe level. We're also accustomed to swearing in our "every day" lives.
Swearing is bad mmmk; It makes the site look even more like its populated by immature members. Its just kind of scummy to have "f-that" in every other post. Vocabulary is good for people to learn, use it to express themselves better. "I'm frustrated." Rather than, "I'm f-ing mad!!!!!1!!" You see my point?

I know what you mean. I can no longer say the word C*nt anymore. I would not be using it to insult people as you see everybody is a C*nt. It is whether you are a good C*nt or a bad C*nt.
Example of good C*nt:
That C*nt over there just got on the bus
Example of bad C*nt
That guy over there getting on the bus is a right C*nt.
Goddammit TTG I am from Scotland and need to swear every 5 words for f*cks sake. Give us back the use of proper swearing.

I disagree and think they need to add one more thing to the swear filter, 'fgt'
Considering that's the shoutbox's favourite word though, I can't see it happening.
If you have to swear to get a point across, your point probably isn't good enough.
