Contagion looks awesome. I believe it's on sale on steam for 3$. Arma 2/Arma 3, Skyrim, Dishonored, COD4/5/6/7/8/9, Battlefield, Fallout: NV, Payday 2, Just Cause 2, Infestation: Survivor stories are all great adventure action games.

Nether is a good game, currently in Alpha. It's a multiplayer game about surviving, like DayZ/WarZ.

I recommend not limiting yourself to the FPS games, try something like Sid Mierer's Civilizations 5, or Total War: Rome II.

Those are turn-by-turn strategy games that are SUPER addicting.

Also, check out Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, it's a FPS (First Person Slasher)

What you should try is TF2, GMod, Dota 2, State of Decay, etc.

There's an autumn sale on Steam for a few more days (until December 3rd) so i'd recommend watching the flash sales/daily deals for anything that catches your eye.

But here's a list of games that I love:

Arma2 DayZ
COD4
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
DiRT3
Skyrim
Fallout NV
Euro Truck Simulator 2
All the Source games (Half Life ect) + Garry's Mod
Mirror's Edge
The Ship
Civilization V
Sleeping Dogs
Super Hexagon (39p indie game, addictive)
Surgeon Simulator 2013
Tomb Raider
Minecraft

Be sure to check out Origin for EA titles. The Sims 3 is also a fun game if you like simulation games and you're creative.

The most recent game I've bought is Guild Wars 2 which is a MMORPG. It's currently -40% on their site (until 3rd dec).

Have fun PC gaming!
