No its not forward compatible due to its lack of a DDR3 memory controller and likely to have a different pin number.

that is best tbh, I would however build the pc and then when the cpu arrives all you have to do is put it in and attach the cpu cooler then you are good to go.

I need to take my PSU, RAM and HDD from my current PC so i will just wait . I have to order my CPU but im waiting for my refund to come through on paypal so i have enough.
