This is a flexible mod, meaning that you don't have to follow it to the letter, it is a guideline for you. If you have a better idea or way you want to do it then go for it I would love to hear about it or help you with it.

What This Mod Is
This mod is enabling you to use your Astros, Trittons, or Turtle Beaches for chat on the Xbox one, if you don't want to wait until march like me.

Requirements
- An Xbox One Headset
- 2.5mm audio cable(I got mine from an old 360 MS Headset)
- A Soldiering Iron
- Soldier
- Torx T3 or T5 Screw driver(Some say T3 but i used a T5)
- Electrical tape or Heatshrink
- A Steady Hand

Getting Ready For Soldiering
First what you want to do is take the xbox one headset plug apart, and plug in your Iron.
For people that dont know this.

In order to do that we have to take off the back cover hiding the screws.

As you can see in the pic pull on the piece sticking out from the USB looking plug and cover should pop off.

That should reveal five screws 2 silver and 3 black, grab your Torx and take them out.

That will leave you with the main board, take your soldiering iron and remove the four wires, it should look like this.

Soldiering

Now take your cable form your old 360 headset cut of off the old headset and strip the insulation off with a knife or wire strippers, it should look like this. There should be copper wire wrapped around the white wire, move it out off the way like so. I didnt strip mine yet

What your going to soldier
Blue Wire = HPL Point
White Wire = Mic Point
Black Wire = HPR Point
Copper Wire = GND Point

The points are the parts on the board, they are labeled like so.

Yellow = Copper Wire
White = White Wire
Black = Black Wire
Blue = Blue Wire

Turtle Beach Chat Cable

If you're using the turtle beach chat cable, cut the 90 degree end off. Strip the black part off, and then strip the Green and the Red wire.

Following the guide, the Red wire is placed like the White wire, and the Green is placed like the Black. The HPL point is not needed.

I can confirm that the mic works, but I had nobody to test the sound with, so I'm assuming that you can hear others as well, although it might be in Mono instead of Stereo.

If anyone has any questions about using the Turtle Beach cable, you can just send
LlmItChElLxXV2 a message.

Using these you should be able to soldier each to the correct points on the board if you have heat shrink put some on each wire if not look below.
After your done soldiering tape or heastshrink each wire to prevent shorts.

Your almost done! Time to test it!
Plug your adapter into your controller and the other end into your headset and invite a friend to the party and talk and see if he can hear you, get him to talk to see if you can hear him.

Finished product, it's messy but gets the job done!

If everything is working great then close everything up and put it back together and your done! You now have your own headset adapter!

If you need help post below and i will help you.

I know there are other TuTs around the internet but i dint find a good one on here so i decided to post mine, if you have any suggestions feel free to post them!

I wrote this tutorial from scratch i only took one pic from somewhere else the rest are mine, so dont say i C&P.

Honestly this is tempting but I'm just gonna wait for an adapter to come out. However if it doesn't come out by summer '14 I'm doing this.

I'd do it, but I hate to damage my things. I'd have to cut the wires and open everything up, I just rather wait for the adapter to come out. Don't know why they didn't release the adapted when the console came out. I mean, where's the logic?

I know, it just doesn't make sense. All they had to do was soldier a jack to the board.
