Someday disc drives will become pretty close to obsolete. Considering that Microsoft almost made the Xbox One without one is a sign that it's getting closer.
I think it'll still be useful for a couple years to come.

Well if you think about it, it's already started. Look at PC gamers, I don think people even buy physical PC games anymore, it's all done by steam, so that's even more proof that DLC or downloadable games are the future.

I wouldn't want it.. I have terrible internet speeds and this would just be so inconvenient. I'd rather purchase the game and just be able to pop it in my Xbox & play!

if they want to implement this in there console they should sell the games at a lower price online like on steam since its only a download and you will probably lose the game if you get band or lose your acc which is not the case with normal discs

I don't want this also. When you have the copy of the game you can. Trade it in etc or what if the console breaks at least you still have the game you payed 50 for ?although technology is advancing I think the physical copy of the game will still be able to purchase for at least the next 10years but between them we will see sales slow down as people will purchase via there console marketplace.also might I add that the only way I will buy via digital marketplace as if the reduce the price I mean most games are between 5 and 10 more than the digital copy. And then again you get a disc with it and it's better than it just sitting on you storage.

I think that would be wrong if you lost all your games if you were banned.
I'm sure they will make it so you can still retrieve them games. Fingers crossed.
I've never been banned anyway so I don't need to worry about anything.

A normal disc seems better to me.
If they scratch it they obviously don't take care into keeping there discs clean. As for QR/redeemable codes that would be quite cool but it will cost much more than an average disc which you can also play with your pals.

I think i would rather just go down the shop and buy it on a disc.
I have decent download speed and all but i would still much rather have it on a disc.
This is stupid who have a set download limit you would really need unlimited like i have
