So I was just reading up the laws with air rifles. I am 14 and considering getting one. But I am confused because it says that someone must buy the gun and ammo for me, but then goes on to say that I can not receive either as a gift. To me these seem kind of contradictory, could someone please clear this up for me?

You just have to be 18 to buy them. I own 3 and I'm only 16 I guess it also changes depending on your state because different states have different laws

If your parents buy them for you, then everything is fine.
Just don't do something stupid like shooting up cars, etc. to get yourself or your parents in trouble.

You can have one, you just have to be 18 (Depending on the State) to buy the air gun or ammo

In Illinois you have to be 16 to buy Airsoft Guns & Ammo. But you have to be 18 to buy a Gun that shoots metal BB's.

Than disregard what I said.
I have no idea about UK laws.

I just know they are far to strict when it comes to guns.

It all depends on where you live. Here in Missouri, you have to be 18 to purchase an airsoft gun.

That makes sense - although your talking about US - this seems like something that would make sense in any country
