Yes only one wire then copper and some white fluff in-between

you going to have to use a multimeter to find out which wire is which I have no idea why there is only one wire.

well there was a red wire wrapped inside the copper does this help?

Yes, the copper is GND, the red is either speaker or mic and the blue/back is either mic or speaker.
