Okay, so I've had insomnia for years, about 9 to be exact. I've learned the ups and downs of it over the years and to be honest i just get so bored of being awake all night with nothing to do. Are there any good ways to get rid of it? I've read all over the internet but nothing really works. Obviously different things work for different people, but I am just curios if you guys know anything.

Talk on the phone with someone or Stay OFF the Internet. Those both worked for me.

I have it extremely bad, I can sit on here or YT for 13 hours laying in bed from like 10pm onwards, unfortunately I know no way at all, I can only sleep when my body feels like it's going to collapse.

I've tried just laying the dark for hours on end. Does no good really. I get on the internet because I get so bored. Some nights i can sleep 3 hours and some nights i can sleep 30 minutes. It's just getting really boring.

Have you tried talking to a doctor? My dad has a machine that was prescribed to him by VA Medical (its not that big of a machine either). Once its on, hes gone. Only thing bad about it is you'd have to use it in a room by yourself, otherwise it'll keep other people up.
