Hey so basically last night I got the fright of a lifetime as I woke up to my garage alarm going off around 2am. In my garage I keep 2 motorbikes well locked up as they are very high value to me personally and are worth a lot. Luckily nothing was actually stolen and looking back at cctv footage they ran once the alarm went. So basically I'm wondering what can I do if tresspassers are in my land what can I do to get rid of them I mean if I had to hit them with a weapon it would be classed as assault still right ? This has got me really worried now and I have no clue what to do.

You can hit them if your life is in danger. Say that they came at you. It would be self defence. I live on a farm and one time three men were snooping around in the barn , I shouted " what the hell are you doing?" and they told me to f off and started laughing. I quickly shut my door and grabbed my dads shotgun (I am 19) I opened the door and fired Ito to the air' , they ran for their lives haha

I suppose so but I have cctv everywhere, I'll just have to edit out me hitting them with a bat or something lol.

Be careful, they might come back but if I were you I'd keep a bat or something by your bedside just to be safe.
