I have a Beats Portable Speaker

This one

and unless it's plugged into a socket it won't work for long? like if I'm using it whilst I skate It works for a good couple of minutes but it just turns off after that. But when it's plugged into the mains it works perfectly? what's the problem? can I do something to help it? and I also change the batteries a lot when I'm out but it still doesn't do anything.

I think it is just one of the few that don't hold a battery life.

If you can I would try to take it back for a new one.

Either it isn't holding battery life, or you are using bad batteries. Try good well known batteries, Duracell for example.

Or it could be that there is a bad connection at the power part of the battery connection. If so, you could fix with soldering, but probably not considering todays things are not made to last :sleepy:

It sounds to me like your batteries are either dead, or can't hold much of a charge.

What type of batteries does it use, or does it use special ones made just for it?

What you can do is if you have your recite you can take it back and get a new one and then see if the problem continues.
