So, if anyone has been watching '24: Live another day' then they may see where I'm coming from. (No spoilers! Only up to 2nd ep!)

But do you think technology is advancing to fast? For example, a realistic example on '24' was that a group hacked into the US military's controls, and took control of their armed drone, and shot a group of US soldiers in Afghanistan. This could realistically happen I guess.

I'm not saying it is advancing too fast, just asking you guys.

Do you think technology is advancing too fast?

So you're asking whether or not technology is advancing too fast, and you use a TV series as an example. Yeah, nice one.
No, it's not; the public have little to no idea about modern technology, they just think they do. What you see as "new" is years old.

Yes I used a TV show, and?
It was a very realistic example, which could be very very bad if it was too happen. I could think of many other examples....

In most cases I would disagree with this, but the context that you've put the question in has made me doubt it.

The country I'm in is crying out to hackers as we do not have enough, which is what I would like to do when I'm older, work with the government. Very ambitious.

Anyways, just remember that no matter how intelligent a hacker is, there will always be hackers just as good working for the "good" side, the ones who couldn't say not to the money, the ones who will do whatever to not go into jail, those ones, the good ones.

They'll always try to counter the bad, but seriously, Chinese hackers are good, so I'm not quite sure!

It isn't advancing that fast. But if fascinates me with how much things you can do with technology!

Yes, because as we all know, everything on TV is ultra-realistic. Heck, it's even more realistic than real life!

In my opinion, technology isn't advancing fast enough.

I agree with this. A group of people just came out with a hunting rifle that automaticly aims on it's target! If this got into enemy hands, the results would be deadly!

Here's a video of it in action:

Technology in general is not advancing fast. Well, depends on what your definition of technology is. Electronics, yes. They are advancing incredibly fast. In their own time frame. Thinking that it took twenty years to perfect the computer that you have in front of you now is not too fast. Everything has its own time frame on when it should be updated and when it should be left alone. Electronics is one of those things that updates rather quickly and other companies race ahead to get the next generation thing out. From an electronic stand point, everything is too fast.

At which point did I say all TV is ultra realistic? As I said, I could think of many other examples of real life activities. And the person I have quoted below has just supported me with a very reasonable example...

Wow, very scary to think tbh....
As you say, in the wrong hands, that could be devastating....

Then people who make the tech for the military are not idiots, they prepare for almost every eventuality and I guess that they could probably shut it down remotely or something.

Technology has advanced farther than we even know. My teacher who was high ranked in the military said there are things he's signed his life away to keep secret, but he did tell us 2 things they have so far which was a gun that can turn any precipitation from the ground into bullets, such as snow and dirt. & Holographic jets. Technology is crazy
