I don't care if you are a girl or boy, people like this annoy me. They just want everyone on there case, I've been In so many lobbies.. Where the girl acts all "cute" and all these guys dribbling all over there mics. It's online, she can be some man for all we know.

Just play the game.. You ain't on top because you a girl, you the same as everyone else.

One way to avoid this, is don't tell people.

Not saying you do this, but seen so many "girls" with there clan tag or something as [GIRL] and then complain when pre-pubescent teens start messaging them, like seriously, what do you expect?

Its all for attention. You dont see girls going on GoneWild for nothing other then attention. And all people want to see is to be noticed.

I can relate in a way. Here's my understanding of these so called "Girl Gamers"

Although i really enjoy gaming, i see lots of games that happen to put themselves out on a pedestal, and the majority happen to girls. Now don't get the wrong impression of me, i'm totally fine with girl gamers. But till a certain point. The only thing i have against them is how they user their gender to get an edge in gaming.(in different games). I myself being a Fan of TF2 really enjoy trading and Talking to new people. TF2 happens to be sort of the type of game that if you have "Better" items then your Cool and Fancy (Not exactly a P2W game but there are items woth $200+), and im ok with that. I myself work hard to get to where im am even if i don't have the best items or not(I know pretty geeky) but it took some time. My point is, every so often i go on servers and start chatting with other players and we engage in who has the best looking load out of their class. Then out of no where i hear some girls(not all of them but a fair amount) begin to quote-unquote "Beg" for items. Something along the lines of "Im new, can i have free hats or metal i'll love you forever" which is most of the things that get traded among other players, its sort of the currency in TF2. Then right off the bat, a group of guys are like "Yeah send me a F/R i have some items" and start trading very expensive items. What im getting at is it literally take a girl(again not all are like this) to acquire an item worth real money in less then 10 minutes, which takes our male gender months even years to build up to some what close to that. I know i sounds like im just going on about how girls get free stuff and all but, it just gets to me sometimes how i or others can work hard and build a reputation just for some "Girl gamer" to waltz right in and get Literally FREE Stuff.

Literally my friends sister plays PS3 and she always goes in games and ask if she can File share. In an instant, all the guys come crawling up to her and willingly hand over their profiles since shes a girl.


Again im not against girl gamers just the fact that some use their gender to get an advantage in a type of way.

I mean why can't us guys do that right...oh yeah it doesn't work that way

Exactly! I have been in a lobby on call of duty before and it was like a madhouse the boys were yelling down the mic to 1 girl it's really annoying. I remember watching a video once where some guy pretended to be a 'cute' girl on GTA and then betrayed the person who helped them out by taking their car, I mean like you said if you are talking about items worth a few 100 imagine you just give it to them and they turn out to be a man? -.-
It's just really stupid it's not like the girls going to plan to meet you irl just because you gave here a few 100.

And there are girls that don't use their mics at all, and use "masculine" names and avatars so that people don't treat them differently. Also, you'd be surprised at how much hate and slurs, and negative stereotypes are directed to most of them. While you have those desperate "white knights" who try to do anything to get a girl online, there's also an equal number of people who will hate on a girl because she is one.
