I feel like a lot of people buy it for the name. Same thing for Gucci, versace, and other name brands.

I don't like where the series is headed either, but the series isn't dying.

You can only use a certain time stamp so much, until it gets stale.

They need a futuristic setting to cater to their creativity. It allows a wider audience appeal, and the possibilities are endless.

I was talking about how their sales are going down every year.

Yes, I'll admit, Ghosts sales caused a steep decline in their sales when compared to its predecessor, Black Ops II, but that could be due to the transformation to the next-gen consoles.

But with your main argument about "Futuristic CODs" is lacking, since Black Ops II, (IMO the most futuristic COD to date) had the biggest launch of all time (Of course, surpassed by GTA V).

Which brought them more fans, but now its going downhill, lower sales means lower fans and lower fans means lower money and it just all goes downhill..

Phaselock wrote Dying? Cod is long gone from being alive.

I personally agree with what you said. I feel the Call of Duty series is long gone and that it really can't be brought back into the days of it's former glory.

I feel as though CoD will live much much longer, i don't think it'll die out any time soon, This being said, i dislike their current course of action, Black Ops was pushing it for me, and then i just stopped playing. :/ I miss the good ol' days on MW2

-=EDIT=-

Shouldn't this be in the "Rant" section? O_O

You title this "Time for a change" but then say it should go back to WaW, CoD4, or MW2? I don't understand that. I only see BO2 and Advanced Warfare as being futuristic. Is Ghosts even that futuristic? All I can recall are just some guns that don't currently exist and a rod-shooting satellite that is an actual possibility. I don't see a trend where futuristic settings is the downfall. Ghosts was the one (as far as I am aware) that failed to meet the sale expectations. Advanced Warfare isn't even out, so you can't even judge that yet. Personally, as long as they stay away from WW2, I will be fine. They (numerous game developers) have used that era so freaking much. I am tired of old stuff. I hate robots and mech suits, but I do prefer it over Springfield's and "potato mashers." Advanced Warfare hasn't sold me yet, but it does have my attention. Totally eager for the 11th.

Just by posting on here wont make anyone stop the new releases of cod. If you don't like it don't buy it. Also this is sledgehammer games. Not infinity ward or activision just wait til next year an pick up Call of Duty Ghost 2 Or Black ops 3 Some people will like this game others wont. Whats next by going back in time fighting with Swords? Or muskets or Both? Or we could just go back to Cod 4 Or mw2 an play with the same guns an extras for the next 3 years. Also why is everyone so set on judging the game so early on half of the stuff on the trailers might not even be on the game an just get the game you wont know if your gonna like it until you play it an if you don't like it just sell your copy of the game an stop ********. An as for the money as long as a new game comes out their going to make profit.
